"Well, It has taken a week to recover and come to terms that it MIGHT have been the last time of seeing THRUSTER!!! But for a 17 year wait, It was well worth it!!!!! Better than the 17 I waited for KISS to put the makeup back on!!!!!!!"
-Mark Milner
During the 80’s the Cincinnati Metal scene was pure magic. Bands like CJSS, PRIZONER, and of course, THRUSTER, would play to a packed house at places like Annie’s, Bogart’s, and Never on Sundays. The support Metal fans gave local bands was amazing..and entertaining. We wonder how many cases of hair spray met their fate at the hands of females (and guys!) who competed for the biggest hair style. And there’s no doubt that, during the 80’s, the sale of Spandex and Converse high tops was at an all time high.
The THRUSTER reunion show in July of ’05 proved that Metal fans are alive and well and are still supporting local music. And while the hair is not as big and Spandex has gone out of style, good times and great music never die. These photos celebrate local metal fans and THRUSTER fans in particular. Thanks and Enjoy!
